Searching for the mastermind who had hacked into Apple’s (AAPL) corporate computer network, the Australian Federal Police ended up in the house of a teenager. The law enforcement officers raided the house and recovered two Apple laptops, and on further examination, found these were the same devices used to hack into the private network, reported The Age.
Finding the stolen data proved to be easier than anticipated – it was stored in a folder named “hacky hack hack”! And the folder contained as much as 90GB of customer files and data.
On further investigation, it was found that the little culprit had even shared his joy among friends, boasting of the hack on WhatsApp.
The teenager, who said he was a fan of the tech giant and dreams of working there someday, now faces a sentence next month. According to The Age, the teenager is well-known in the international hacking community.
The Australian Federal Police had acted on a tip-off by the FBI, who were contacted by Apple after its technicians noticed the breach. However, by then the teen had already accessed the network multiple times over a span of one year, the hacker’s lawyer told The Age.

The offender reportedly hid his identity through online bypassing systems and by developing computerized tunnels. He also accessed authorized keys, a highly secure log-in access that is given to users.
The teenager has pleaded guilty, but Apple would be proud to have such young smart fans!
