Apple (AAPL) has been experiencing slightly strong demand from customers for its iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max. Along with it, the new watch has already been touted as the surprise hit with demand pushing the delivery waitlist of certain models to three or four weeks. Despite this, early adopters of the XS were annoyed with few launch problems.
The main features that adorn iPhone XS are an Apple A12 Bionic chipset in the form of 7-nanometer, 4 GB RAM, six CPU cores, four-core GPU, a dual 12-megapixel quad-LED flash rear camera with 2160p HD video recording and a secondary 7-megapixel front-facing camera for video chat.
The Apple’s smartphone also has a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED display and is loaded with Apple’s latest operating system, iOS 12. In addition, the phone comes with dual sim capability of nano-sim and e-sim. It comes in three internal storage variant of 64, 256, and 512 GB. It has Bluetooth version 5.0, fast battery charging of 50% in 30 minutes, Qi wireless charging, Siri personal assistant, and a 2,658 mAh Li-Ion battery capacity.
Apple released three variants of iPhones during this year. The iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max have initially received overwhelming responses from the general public. But the iPhone XS users were experiencing some major technical difficulties such as the “beautygate” allegation, charging irregularities and Antenna wireless issues.
Most of the users have voiced concerns regarding the beautification tool in the front-facing camera on the iPhone XS. Selfies applied a plastic-like texture to the face, and it changed the skin tone as well.
Another group of iPhone XS buyers reported charging irregularities, with the phones not detecting the Lightning cable when plugged in for charging.
A few others pointed out Wireless and Cellular connectivity problems. They have been experiencing weaker transmission and reception strength than the previous iPhone models. Experts believe that a software update might rectify this problem, but few of them think an update along with a hardware revision is required.
Apple might soon be coming out with a software update and provide more insights into these “technical difficulties.”
One month away from Apple results, the tech giant is likely to unveil the sales numbers for the new iPhones and Apple Watch Series 4 during the fourth quarter results. Experts are of the view that the expensive price tag is likely to dent into the company’s sales in the final quarter. That, along with certain hiccups, could pose issues to the fashionable launch we saw in September.
