Sony Corp (SNE): Q3 2019 Earnings Snapshot

— Sony Corp (NYSE: SNE) reported earnings of 182.89 yen per share for the third quarter of 2019, down from 330.77 yen per share reported a year earlier.

— Net income attributable to shareholders decreased 46% to 229.5 billion yen from $429 billion yen in the third quarter of 2018

— Sales & operating revenue advanced 3% annually to 2,463.2 billion yen, aided by an increase in Financial Services and I&SS segment sales

— Game & Network Services revenues more than halved during the quarter, while Music sales increased by 8%

— Pictures revenues dropped 42%, and Electronics Products &
Solutions revenue was down 62%

— Operating income declined 20% annually to 300.1 billion yen, hurt by a decline in the Music segment

— Expects full-year 2019 sales & operating revenue to be 8,500 billion yen, which is above the earlier estimate

— Looking for full-year operating income of 880 billion yen, up from the earlier forecast
