American Airlines sets Jan 24 for Q4 2018 earnings call

Despite the economic uncertainty threatening the demand of airlines, American Airlines Group Inc. (AAL) is scheduled to conduct the fourth quarter 2018 earnings conference call on Thursday, January 24, at 8:30 am Eastern Time.

American Airlines issued a press release on Thursday with the conference call details. The company’s chief William Douglas Parker’s presentation may be accessed here on the aforementioned date.

Here are the key highlights from the fourth quarter 2017 earnings results in comparison with the analysts’ expectations for the fourth quarter 2018, which are given in brackets.

Revenue – $10.6 billion ($11.08 billion)

Non-GAAP EPS – $0.95 ($1.12)

In addition, the company lowered its profit estimates for 2018 to the range of $4.40 to $4.60 per share from the prior range of $4.50 to $5.00 per share. American Airlines warned investors of the revenue increase struggle toward the end of the year.
