Healthcare service provider Centene Corporation (NYSE: CNC) on Tuesday announced third-quarter 2023 earnings results, reporting a sharp increase in revenues and adjusted profit.
- Adjusted earnings per share, excluding special items, jumped 53% to $2.00 in the third quarter from $1.30 last year
- On an unadjusted basis, net income attributable to the company was $469 million or $0.87 per share, compared to $738 million or $1.27 per share last year
- Third-quarter revenues increased to $38.04 billion from $35.86 billion a year earlier
- The management raised its guidance for full-year 2023 adjusted earnings by $0.15 per share to at least $6.60 per share
- The company reiterated its 2024 adjusted earnings per share forecast of greater than $6.60
- Centene announced the divestiture of Circle Health for $1.2 billion
