Waste Management (NYSE: WM) has reported higher revenues and earnings for the fourth quarter of 2022. The company also provided guidance for fiscal 2023.
In the fourth quarter, adjusted earnings moved up 3% annually to $1.30 per share. Unadjusted profit remained broadly unchanged at $499 million or $1.21 per share.
At $4.94 billion, fourth-quarter revenues were up 5% year-over-year. In fiscal 2023, total company revenue is expected to grow between 4% and 5.5%.
Jim Fish, the company’s chief executive officer, said, “The collection and disposal business exceeded expectations and overcame high inflation and a tight labor market to deliver double-digit adjusted operating EBITDA growth in both the fourth quarter and for the full year.”
