Earnings Summary: Chagee Holdings (CHA) Q3 FY25 revenue and profit decline

Chagee Holdings Limited (NASDAQ: CHA), a China-based restaurant chain that serves premium tea drinks, on Friday reported lower revenues and earnings for the third quarter of fiscal 2025.

  • Net revenues declined to RMB3.2 billion (US$450.7 million) from RMB3.5 billion in the prior-year quarter
  • Net income, on a reported basis, came in at RMB397.9 million (US$55.9 million), vs. RMB646.6 million in Q3 2024
  • Adjusted profit dropped to RMB502.8 million (US$70.6 million) in Q3 from RMB646.6 million in the comparable quarter last year
  • Operating income totaled RMB454.4 million (US$63.8 million) in the September quarter, compared to RMB794.3 million in the year-ago quarter
  • Third-quarter operating margin declined sharply to 14.2% from 22.4% in the year-ago period
  • There were 7,338 teahouses within Chagee’s teahouse network in Greater China and overseas as of September 30, 2025, representing a 26% increase YoY
  • During the quarter, the company generated total GMV of RMB7.93 billion, compared to RMB8.30 billion in the same quarter of 2024
  • The Chagee board has authorized a special dividend distribution of around US$177 million
