The transition will make Bouriko, who served as CFO to Rusal, the first woman to lead any of Russia’s largest commodity companies.
While this happens, billionaire CEO Oleg Deripaska will step down from his leadership position and his title of president of En+ Group Plc. The group’s chief executive, Maxim Sokov, will take over as president.
Competitors and peers of aluminum giant United Co. Rusal includes Alcoa Corp and Aluminum Corporation of China, among others.
