In the latest development, United Continental Holdings (UAL) announced that it has initiated a search to replace its finance chief Andrew Levy, who has decided to leave the company. For the second time, the company has named its treasurer Gerry Laderman as the acting CFO.
“I personally want to thank Andrew for his contributions to United. He leaves the company in a stronger financial position and with a clear strategy and framework in place,” said CEO Oscar Munoz. It is still not clear where Levy is going to.
United Airlines appointed Andrew Levy as executive vice president and CFO on August 18, 2016. Levy came to United after over 13 years of leadership at Allegiant Travel Company (ALGT).
Meanwhile, Laderman has held legal and financial positions of increasing responsibility at the company for nearly 30 years. He will continue to execute United’s overall financial strategy, including cost management, capital allocation and balance sheet optimization.
