Earnings Summary: A snapshot of Duke Energy’s Q4 2025 report

Energy holding company Duke Energy (NYSE: DUK) announced financial results for the fourth quarter of FY25, reporting a year-over-year decline in adjusted earnings.

  • Fourth-quarter adjusted earnings were $1.50 per share, compared to $1.66 per share in the corresponding quarter of FY24
  • On a reported basis, earnings came in at $1.50 per share in Q4, vs. $1.54 per share in Q4 2024
  • Segment income for Electric Utilities and Infrastructure was $1.21 billion, unchanged from the prior-year quarter
  • Gas Utilities and Infrastructure segment income rose to $230 million in Q4 from $189 million last year
  • Total operating revenues were $7.94 billion in the December quarter
  • For fiscal 2026, the Duke leadership forecasts adjusted earnings in the range of $6.55 per share to $6.80 per share
  • Management also extended its long-term adjusted EPS growth guidance of 5% to 7% through 2030, off the 2025 guidance range midpoint of $6.30
