Loews Corporation (NYSE: L), a diversified company with businesses in areas like insurance, energy, and hospitality, on Monday reported a sharp increase in net income for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2025.
- Net income for the fourth quarter increased to $402 million from $187 million in the prior-year quarter
- On a per-share basis, earnings jumped to $1.94 in the December quarter from $0.86 per share last year
- Fourth-quarter revenue rose to $4.73 billion from $4.55 billion in the comparable quarter of FY24
- Revenue of the CNA Financial segment was $3.83 billion, vs. $3.69 billion in the year-ago quarter
- Broadwalk Pipelines segment revenue rose to $619 million in Q4 from $577 million a year earlier
- Revenue of Lowes Hotels & Co. was 235 million during the three months. broadly unchanged from last year
- In Q4, Loews repurchased 1.0 million and 8.9 million shares for a total cost of $98 million and $782 million, respectively
