The US IPO market saw 25 newcomers in September 2018, raising a combined capital of around $6.4 billion. Amidst the US-China trade tensions, around seven Chinese companies stepped into the US market, including Chinese electric-car maker NIO Inc. (NIO), which is likely to compete with Tesla (TSLA) in the luxury electric-car market in the US.
With October’s average IPO production (for last 17 years) being just 19.3 deals per month, the first week of October 2018 is already set for six IPOs to raise about $783.49 million in capital, according to IPOScoop.
