Nucor Corporation (NYSE: NUE) reported consolidated net sales of $8.72 billion for the fourth quarter of 2022 which was down 16% from the same period last year.
Consolidated net earnings were $1.26 billion, or $4.89 per share, compared to $2.25 billion, or $7.97 per share, for the year-ago period.
At the end of the fourth quarter of 2022, Nucor had $4.94 billion in cash and cash equivalents, short-term investments and restricted cash and cash equivalents on hand.
