Consolidated net earnings were $1.26 billion, or $4.89 per share, compared to $2.25 billion, or $7.97 per share, for the year-ago period.
At the end of the fourth quarter of 2022, Nucor had $4.94 billion in cash and cash equivalents, short-term investments and restricted cash and cash equivalents on hand.
