Shares of The Home Depot (NYSE: HD) dipped over 1% on Monday. The stock has dropped 5% in the past three months. The home improvement retailer is scheduled to report its earnings results on Tuesday, November 18, before market open. Here’s a look at what to expect from the earnings report:

Revenue

Analysts are projecting revenue of $41 billion for Home Depot in the third quarter of 2025, which implies a growth of nearly 2% from the same period a year ago. In the second quarter of 2025, HD’s sales increased 4.9% year-over-year to $45.3 billion.

Earnings

The consensus estimate for earnings per share in Q3 2025 is $3.85, which compares to adjusted EPS of $3.78 reported in the year-ago quarter. In Q2 2025, adjusted EPS rose slightly YoY to $4.68.

Points to note

Home Depot is likely to have benefited from continued demand for smaller home improvement projects in the third quarter. The softness in larger discretionary projects may have continued in the to-be-reported quarter.

HD has been seeing positive performance across both the Pro and DIY customer segments. The company has been focusing on strengthening its position in the Pro segment. It has been investing significantly in expanding its offerings and improving its fulfillment options for Pro customers as well as enhancing capabilities in trade credit and order management. These efforts are expected to continue yielding benefits.

The company’s efforts in improving its digital capabilities are paying off, as witnessed in a 12% growth in online sales last quarter. In addition, faster delivery and an improved shopping experience are helping drive customer engagement and sales.

Home Depot is benefiting from its strategic acquisitions in the Pro space. SRS is performing well and the company has now completed the acquisition of GMS, which will expand its offerings in specialty building products for Pro customers as well as broaden its distribution footprint across the US and Canada. The combination of SRS and GMS is expected to drive cross-selling synergies and generate more growth opportunities in the Pro segment.
